Sensex and Nifty dip in opening trade
The Sensex and Nifty, which are like report cards for the Indian stock market, went down a bit when they opened on Tuesday.
This happened because some big companies like HDFC Bank didn't do as well as people hoped, and foreign investors were selling their shares.
Also, the tension between the US and Iran made people nervous about investing.
The price of oil also went down a little, which usually makes people feel better, but there's still a lot of uncertainty.
Other markets in Asia did better, but the US market went down the day before.
Sensex dipped 58.89 points to 77,649.63 in opening trade.
Nifty slipped 22.45 points to 24,216.05 in opening trade.
HDFC Bank declined for the second day due to disappointing quarterly earnings.
Foreign Institutional Investors offloaded equities worth Rs 1,121.04 crore on Monday.
Brent crude quoted 0.63% lower at USD 88.66 per barrel.
