South Korea Weighs Hormuz Deployment Amid Trump Pressure, Reports Say

South Korea is thinking about sending military equipment to the Strait of Hormuz.

The equipment could be sent before the end of 2026.

The goal would be to help ships travel safely through the strait.

The plan is being discussed while fighting involving Iran continues.

Possible equipment includes patrol aircraft, a support ship, and teams that can find or remove explosives and mines.

South Korea may need Parliament to approve the mission.

Officials are also discussing the plan with the United States, Britain, and France.

However, South Korea’s Blue House said that no final deployment decision had been made.

Reports also said Donald Trump criticized South Korea for not helping the United States in the war against Iran.
