Singapore Tops 2026 Responsible Nations Index
The World Intellectual Foundation (WIF) released the Responsible Nations Index 2026 on January 19.
This ranking is different because it doesn't just look at how strong or rich a country is.
Instead, it checks how responsible countries are in areas like good governance, taking care of people, protecting the environment, and being accountable globally.
Singapore is at the top, followed by Switzerland and Denmark.
Big countries like the US and China are ranked much lower, showing that being powerful doesn't always mean being responsible.
The index includes 154 countries and is a way to see which nations are doing their part for the world.
Singapore tops the Responsible Nations Index 2026, published by the World Intellectual Foundation (WIF).
Switzerland and Denmark rank second and third, respectively, in ethical governance and global accountability.
The index evaluates 154 countries based on ethical governance, social welfare, environmental responsibility, and global accountability.
The US and China rank 66th and 68th, respectively, highlighting that economic size or military power does not necessarily equate to global responsibility.
Pakistan is ranked 90th in the index.
