Gujarat provides free health screenings to over 15.89 crore children in 11 years
Imagine Gujarat has a special program to help kids stay healthy!
For the last 11 years, they've given free check-ups to more than 15 crore children.
This program, called SH-RBSK, checks for many health problems, like eyesight, hearing, and even serious issues like heart problems or cancer.
If a child needs extra help, like surgery or a transplant, they can get it for free.
The state has special teams that travel around to check on kids in schools and even those not in school.
They also use cool technology to check babies when they are born.
The goal is to make sure all children in Gujarat grow up strong and healthy without their families having to worry about the cost.
Over 15.89 crore children in Gujarat have received free health screenings in the last 11 years.
The School Health–Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (SH-RBSK) initiative has provided specialized medical care to over 2.18 lakh children.
This includes free complex procedures such as heart surgeries, kidney treatments, cancer treatments, and transplants.
992 mobile health teams are deployed across the state to conduct regular health screenings for children aged 0-18.
The program ensures early diagnosis, timely treatment, and provides digital health records for each child.
