Bhopal Sealing Drive Paused Ahead of Supreme Court Hearing

Bhopal officials temporarily stopped sealing properties on Thursday.

They are preparing documents for a Supreme Court hearing on September 15.

The case concerns businesses operating from places meant to be residential.

Officials have records of 8,264 notices and 190 sealed establishments.

They say more than 62,000 properties may have commercial activity in residential areas.

The corporation is also asking the High Court to remove stays protecting 107 properties.
