Gujarat Releases 50 Spotted Deer to Boost Ecosystem
The Gujarat Forest Department has released 50 spotted deer into the Mandvi Forest Range in Surat district.
This was done to help the ecosystem by giving more food to carnivores like tigers and leopards.
The deer were moved from the Sasan Gir Wildlife Division in three groups over May and June.
The goal is to make the forest a better home for animals and reduce problems between animals and people.
The department has also set up water points and monitoring systems to help the deer survive and thrive.
Officials say this is part of a bigger plan to protect wildlife and balance the environment.
