Telangana Steps Up Nepal Flood Tracing and Repatriation Efforts

Severe floods in Nepal have made it difficult to find and help some people from Telangana.

Telangana Bhavan is working with Indian and Nepalese officials to locate them.

Hundreds of Indian citizens have crossed from Tibet into Nepal, and more are expected to move.

One person, Alli Ilesha, has contacted his family and is expected to return to Hyderabad.

Nepalese officials are also working to identify people who died.

They can use photographs when a person can be recognized.

If that is not possible, DNA from close family members may be used.

Families do not need to travel to Nepal just for DNA testing.

They should wait for instructions from Telangana Bhavan or the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
