India Expands US Consular Services With New Centers
The Indian Embassy in the US is expanding its services to make it easier for people to get passports and other documents.
They've opened eight new centers in cities like Raleigh, Orlando, and San Jose, with one more coming soon in Los Angeles.
These centers will be open six days a week.
They're also changing how some services work; instead of going to the Embassy, you'll now go through VFS, who will charge a fee for miscellaneous applications.
Eight new Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs) opened in the US on August 1, 2025.
ICACs are located in Raleigh, Orlando, San Jose, Dallas, Detroit, Columbus, Edison, and Boston.
One more center is set to open in Los Angeles, California raising total to 17.
All 17 ICACs will operate six days a week, including Saturdays.
Miscellaneous consular and attestation services are now offered through ICACs via VFS, with a new service fee.
