Tigress released in Rajasthan's Ramgarh Vishdhari forest
A young tigress named PN-224 was moved from a place called Pench in Madhya Pradesh to a forest in Rajasthan called Ramgarh Vishdhari.
She was kept in a special area for a few days to get used to her new home.
On Sunday morning, she was let out and she walked into the forest on her own.
Many forest officials and experts were there to make sure everything went smoothly.
This was done to help more tigers live in different forests, which is good for nature.
A 3-year-old tigress (PN-224) was translocated from Madhya Pradesh's Pench Tiger Reserve to Rajasthan's Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve.
The tigress was kept in a soft-release enclosure at Bajaliya from December 22 for acclimatization.
She was released for free movement into the forest on Sunday morning, December 24, 2023.
The release operation was executed in the presence of senior forest officials and monitoring teams.
The process followed National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) protocols.
