Tesla loses used EV edge as Skoda, Hyundai, BMW gain

Tesla loses used EV edge as Skoda, Hyundai, BMW gain

This story is about electric cars, or EVs, in Britain.

For a long time, Tesla was the most famous electric car brand.

But now, other car brands are doing really well too.

A website called CarGurus looked at prices of used electric cars.

It found that cars from Skoda, Hyundai, BMW and Ford went up in price more than Tesla cars did.

The Skoda Enyaq went up the most, by 10 percent.

Tesla's Model Y only went up by 4 percent, and the Model 3 by 1 percent.

This does not mean Tesla is doing badly, because its cars are still very popular.

It just means other electric cars are becoming more valuable too.

The cars that increased in price all had long ranges, meaning they could drive far on one charge.

Higher fuel prices for petrol and diesel cars may have made more people want electric cars.

This is a change from last year, when electric cars were losing value very quickly.

It is good news for people who already own used electric cars.
