ISRO Prepares for Gaganyaan's Uncrewed Mission
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is getting ready for a big space mission called Gaganyaan.
They are doing lots of tests to make sure everything is safe for the astronauts who will go to space.
The first test, called G1, will happen without people on board and is planned for 2026.
This test will check important things like life support and how the spacecraft comes back to Earth.
The real mission with astronauts is planned for 2027.
The astronauts will go up to a height of 400 km above Earth and stay there for 3 days before coming back safely.
This mission is a big step for India in space exploration and will help them plan even bigger missions in the future, like building a space station by 2035 and sending people to the moon by 2040.
ISRO is conducting extensive tests for Gaganyaan's first uncrewed mission G1, planned for 2026.
The mission aims to enhance the safety of the selected astronauts: Shubhanshu Shukla, Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Ajit Krishnan, and Angad Pratap.
Gaganyaan's human spaceflight is targeted for 2027, with astronauts to be launched into a 400 km orbit aboard the LVM3 rocket.
Over 8,000 ground tests have been successfully conducted, with more software simulations and environmental validations planned.
The success of Gaganyaan will pave the way for future missions, including a space station by 2035 and a manned moon mission by 2040.
