Telangana Seeks Centre’s Approval for Major Road and Ropeway Projects

Telangana wants the central government to approve several transport projects.

The state’s roads minister discussed the requests with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

One proposal is a raised, two-level road between LB Nagar and Hayathnagar.

Telangana also wants a wider NH-65 and faster approval for a large ring road.

The requests include money for five ropeways that would serve tourist and spiritual destinations.

Another proposed raised road would cross a tiger reserve on the route to Srisailam.

The state also asked for funding for dozens of roads and three railway bridges.

The articles do not say whether the Centre approved any of the requests.
