Andhra Pradesh Lawyers Seek Civil Courts for Chit Fund Disputes

Andhra Pradesh Lawyers Seek Civil Courts for Chit Fund Disputes

The Indian Lawyers Association asked the Andhra Pradesh government to change how chit fund disagreements are decided.

It wants regular civil courts to hear these cases instead of registrars and arbitrators.

The lawyers said the current officials may not have enough legal training and may have too much work.

They believe this can delay decisions and make things harder for people involved in disputes.

The association also wants more financial help for families when an advocate dies.

It asked for the grant to increase from ₹4 lakh to ₹10 lakh.

The lawyers made these requests to Minister Nasyam Mohammed Farooq in Tadepalli.

The minister said the government would examine the requests and consider them as a priority.
