HC Rules SGRC Recommendations Binding on MNLU

HC Rules SGRC Recommendations Binding on MNLU

A student at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU) was not allowed to take his 5th Semester exams because he had low attendance.

The student said he had low attendance because he had to leave his hostel.

A committee called the Students Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) said the university should hold special exams for him.

But the university did not do this, so the student went to the court.

The court said the university must follow the SGRC's recommendations and must hold special exams for the student.

The court also said that the university has to follow the SGRC's recommendations because they are mandatory.
