Migrant Worker Dies After Falling Into Boiling Jaggery Vat

A 25-year-old man named Danish went to Maharashtra to work and help his family repay a debt.

He had been working at a jaggery factory for about four months.

On August 21, he stood near a large vat filled with boiling jaggery.

He suddenly felt dizzy and fell into it.

Other workers tried to rescue him and eventually pulled him out.

Danish had very serious burns.

He was taken to a hospital but died while being treated.

His body was sent back to his family after a post-mortem.

His family first worried that the workers with him had been careless, but police showed them video of what happened.
