Glasgow CWG 2026 Closing Ceremony Features Vande Mataram
The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are almost over, and the last big show will have a special song from India called Vande Mataram.
A famous Indian dancer, Manushi Chillar, will lead a dance group that shows how beautiful India is.
A Scottish musician will play a bagpipe, and an Indian sitar player will play a sitar, so the music will mix Scottish and Indian sounds.
A well‑known singer, Shankar Mahadevan, will sing with his sons and a singer named Bhoomi Trivedi.
The whole show will last about 20 minutes and will let people see what India will do when it hosts the Games in 2030 in a city called Ahmedabad.
India’s national song Vande Mataram will be performed at Glasgow’s Hydro during the Commonwealth Games 2026 closing ceremony.
The ceremony celebrates 150 years of the song and previews India’s cultural showcase for the 2030 Games in Ahmedabad.
Former Miss World Manushi Chillar will lead a 20‑minute dance ensemble choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
The program includes a fusion of Scottish piper Ross Ainslie with Indian sitarist Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma.
Singer Shankar Mahadevan and his sons will perform with Bhoomi Trivedi.
