Foreign Investors Pull $21.5B Out of India Amid Market Underperformance
Foreign investors are taking their money out of India.
Over nine months, they withdrew $21.5 billion.
This is happening because the Indian stock market hasn't done as well as markets in the US, Asia, and Europe.
While the Indian market grew only a little, other markets grew much more.
Even things like gold and silver have increased in value much more than Indian stocks.
This makes India less attractive to investors compared to other places.
Foreign investors withdrew $21.5 billion from Indian markets in the first nine months.
India's market has risen 1-2% in dollar terms.
US equities gained between 10-15% on average.
Most Asian markets saw gains of 15-35% in dollar terms.
Gold, silver, and copper prices have increased significantly.
