BJP Reunites Old Guards in Bengal Ahead of Shah Visit
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal held a special meeting to bring back old leaders who had not been active recently.
This meeting happened before the visit of Amit Shah, who is an important leader in the central government.
The BJP wants to make their party stronger before the next big elections in 2026.
Many important people from the BJP were there, but one former leader, Dilip Ghosh, was not invited, which made some people in the party wonder why.
Suvendu Adhikari, who is a big leader in the BJP, said they need to work together to defeat the current government led by Mamata Banerjee.
Meanwhile, the Trinamul Congress, the ruling party, is also getting ready for the 2026 elections.
They are making sure that only real voters are included in the voter list and are telling their workers to go to every house to check this.
BJP held a reunion of old and sidelined leaders in West Bengal to consolidate the party before the 2026 Assembly elections.
The meeting was attended by key leaders like Sunil Bansal, Samik Bhattacharya, Suvendu Adhikari, and Mithun Chakraborty.
Former state BJP president Dilip Ghosh was notably absent from the event, raising questions within the party.
Suvendu Adhikari emphasized the need to collectively work to oust the Trinamul Congress government in the 2026 elections.
