Sensex Soars on Global Cues, Rebounds Above 27,000
The stock market in Mumbai, called the Sensex, went up by a lot today!
Investors were buying stocks, which made the market happy.
This happened because other stock markets in Asia and the US were also doing well.
The US market's good performance and a meeting by the Federal Reserve, which suggested interest rates wouldn't go up soon, made investors optimistic.
This positive feeling spread to India, causing the Sensex and Nifty to rise.
This means people are more confident in the market and are willing to invest.
The BSE Sensex jumped 325 points to trade above 27,000.
The rise followed strong buying from investors.
All sectoral indices including metal, capital goods, realty and banking were in positive territory.
The NSE Nifty also gained, recapturing the 8,200-mark.
Asian markets rallied, influenced by gains at Wall Street and expectations of no immediate US rate hike.
