Tushar Gandhi vows nationwide protests, calls them no-confidence motion

Tushar Gandhi was detained before a protest in Mumbai and later released.

He said his phone was not returned to him.

He said people still came to the protest, even though organisers had been detained and police had blocked access to the area.

Gandhi called the protests a way for people to show they had lost confidence in the government.

He said protests would take place across India every week.

He wants Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign and the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to step down.

Gandhi also accused the government of electoral manipulation.

These are Gandhi’s claims and demands.
