Asansol Municipal Corporation to Establish 93 Health Centres
The Asansol city government is building 93 new health centers to help people stay healthy.
These centers will provide basic healthcare, including checkups and tests, and even offer online doctor visits.
So far, they've found land for many of them and built some.
Each center will have a doctor and a nurse, but some centers are waiting for doctors to be assigned.
The goal is to make sure everyone in the city can easily access healthcare.
They are hoping to open them all soon.
Asansol Municipal Corporation (AMC) approved 93 health and wellness centers.
Land identified for 61 centers, with 38 constructed and seven operational.
Centers to offer primary care, telemedicine, and twelve health facility categories.
Each center will have a doctor and nurse, but doctor appointments are delayed at 31 completed centers.
The initiative aims to provide healthcare to the 106 wards of Asansol, each costing approximately Rs 35 lakh.
