ULFA (I) Leader Reveals Paresh Baruah in China
A leader from a group called ULFA (I) named Arunodoi Dohotia recently gave up and told the police some important things.
He said the main leader, Paresh Baruah, is in China and hasn't visited the group's camps in Myanmar for over ten years.
The camps in Myanmar are in bad shape, especially after some drone attacks.
The Naga rebel groups are also worried about helping ULFA (I) because it might cause them trouble.
Dohotia said many members want to give up but can't leave the camps.
He also mentioned that the new members don't know much about the group's ideas.
Dohotia had to leave his family behind in Myanmar when he surrendered.
ULFA (I) leader Arunodoi Dohotia surrendered and revealed that chief Paresh Baruah is in China.
Baruah has not visited the Myanmar camps for over a decade.
Drone attacks on the camps have led to low morale and a decline in the camps' condition.
Naga rebel groups are hesitant to shelter ULFA (I) militants due to potential trouble.
Dohotia's family remains in Myanmar, and many cadres want to surrender but are trapped.
