INDIA Bloc Walks Out of Parliament Meeting
During a meeting in Parliament, some opposition parties, called the INDIA bloc, walked out because they were upset.
The government had given a special table to a group of rebel MPs from another party, the TMC.
The INDIA bloc said this was not fair because the Speaker of the Parliament had not officially recognized these rebel MPs as a separate group.
After their walkout, the opposition parties came back and explained that they were protesting to show their disagreement with the government's decision.
The government, however, had invited the rebel MPs and gave them a separate table, which caused the disagreement.
Members of the INDIA bloc walked out of an all-party meeting in Parliament during the Monsoon Session.
The walkout was a protest against the government's decision to give the rebel TMC MPs a separate table.
The rebel MPs, part of the Nationalist Congress of Progressive India (NCPI), were welcomed by the administration.
The opposition parties argued that the Speaker had not officially recognized the rebel MPs as a distinct parliamentary party.
The government representatives included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister JP Nadda, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.
