Shekhar Suman Recalls National Awards Show’s Live Broadcast Disaster

Shekhar Suman talked about working with Jaya Bachchan in television and live events.

Jaya Bachchan’s company helped produce Dekh Bhai Dekh, which became an important show for him.

Shekhar first did not want to work in television.

He changed his mind after hearing the script for Wah Janaab.

Later, he agreed to consider Dekh Bhai Dekh because Jaya was producing it.

He said Jaya often visited the set and helped supervise the show.

Jaya also asked him to participate in the first live National Awards show organized by her company.

The broadcast went badly because the electricity failed and private conversations containing abuses were aired.

Despite the problem, Shekhar remembered spending time with Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan while planning the event.
