WFI Lifts Suspensions for Wrestlers Aman Sehrawat and Neha Sangwan
Two wrestlers, Aman Sehrawat and Neha Sangwan, had their bans removed by the Wrestling Federation of India.
They were previously suspended because they were too heavy for their wrestling matches at different world championships.
Aman said he missed his weight because he had a stomachache before his match.
Neha also missed her weight for her event.
The wrestling federation decided to let them wrestle again because it was their first mistake and they have performed well before.
They warned that if it happens again, the punishment will be harsher.
This means they can now join the Pro Wrestling League coming up next year.
Wrestling Federation of India has lifted suspensions of wrestlers Aman Sehrawat and Neha Sangwan.
Both wrestlers were disqualified for being overweight before their respective bouts at the World Championships and U20 World Championships.
Aman Sehrawat cited a stomachache as the reason for missing weight, calling it an unintentional first-time mistake.
The WFI decided to lift the ban acknowledging it was their first offense and considering their international performance track record.
The lifted suspensions allow Aman and Neha to compete in the upcoming Pro Wrestling League.
