Tripura CM says CPI(M) debt burden hinders BJP-led government's development

There is a place in India called Tripura where two big political groups are arguing.

One group, called the BJP, is in charge of the state government.

A man named Manik Saha is the state's leader, called the Chief Minister.

He says that when his group took over in 2018, the old government left behind a huge money problem of about Rs 13,000 crore.

Because of that, he says, there is not enough money to build new things.

The old group, called the CPI(M), says the government is not doing enough for the people.

Its old leader, Manik Sarkar, said people might start a big protest if their problems are not fixed.

The protesters want jobs, higher wages, and lower prices for fuel and food.

The government says it is working hard and has big plans to spend and attract business.

Both sides hope to make life better for the people of Tripura.
