Officials Urged to Serve Devotees During Dasara Festivities
Officials in Vijayawada are preparing for a large Dasara festival at Sri Kanaka Durga Temple.
The district collector asked staff to treat helping visitors as an important service.
About 25 lakh people may visit this year, up from around 20 lakh last year.
Staff must learn their assigned areas and be ready to respond if an emergency happens.
They were also told to coordinate with other departments and pass important information to the control room.
The police commissioner said keeping visitors safe and satisfied is most important.
The temple and nearby places have been decorated with colourful lights for the festival.

Officials expect about 25 lakh visitors this year, compared with around 20 lakh during last year’s festivities.
