Bharat Taxi Launch Planned Soon

The Indian government is planning to launch a new ride-hailing app called Bharat Taxi in about one or two months.

This app is special because it will be run like a cooperative, meaning the drivers will be part owners and keep all the profits.

The goal is to help drivers earn more money and reduce their dependence on private companies like Ola and Uber.

Bharat Taxi will offer different types of vehicles, including cars, autos, and bike taxis.

The app will also provide insurance for drivers and put advertisements on their vehicles.

The government believes this will create new jobs and make drivers more prosperous.

They hope Bharat Taxi will become India's number one taxi service soon.

The app is being operated by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Ltd, which was registered in June 2025.

The government is also focusing on making farmers prosperous through cooperatives, as seen with successful examples like Amul in Gujarat.
