Gujarat High Court Rejects Kejriwal, Singh's Separate Trial Pleas

The case involves statements made by Kejriwal and Singh in April 2023, where they questioned the authenticity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree and the actions of Gujarat University.

The court ruled that their press conferences were part of a political strategy and that the evidence against them would be the same.

Therefore, the court decided that there was no need for separate trials.

The court also noted that Singh's petition was an afterthought aimed at delaying the proceedings.

The original complaint was filed by Gujarat University, which found the statements defamatory.
