ACME Solar Commissions Solar and Battery Storage Projects in Rajasthan
ACME Solar has started operating two new clean-energy facilities in Rajasthan.
One facility produces electricity from 66.68 megawatts of solar power.
It is the first phase of a larger solar project planned to reach 300 megawatts.
The larger hybrid project is also expected to include 100 megawatts of wind power.
The company also switched on a battery storage facility holding 300 megawatt-hours of energy.
Batteries can store electricity and provide it when needed.
This storage project is part of a much larger planned system.
ACME Solar says its operating renewable-energy capacity is now about 3,057 megawatts, with 4.16 gigawatt-hours of battery storage.
The company expects to finish the remaining projects in stages.
ACME Solar commissioned 66.68 MW of solar capacity at Kelan village in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The solar facility is Phase I of a planned 300 MW solar project that will also include 100 MW of wind capacity.
The company separately commissioned 53.63 MW/300 MWh of BESS capacity at the same site.
The BESS project has a planned total capacity of 300 MW/1,581 MWh and is backed by a PPA with SJVN Limited.
ACME Solar’s operational portfolio now stands at approximately 3,057 MW of renewable energy and 4.16 GWh of BESS capacity.
