Ranga Statue Installed, Removed in Kakinada Sparks Debate
Imagine a town where people wanted to put up a statue of someone they admired, Ranga.
Some people, members of the Kapu community, put up the statue without asking the town first.
The people in charge, the police and municipal officials, said 'Whoa, you need permission!'
and took the statue down.
The people who wanted the statue were not happy, so they gathered to protest and ask for permission.
At the same time, another group, the BJP, suggested putting up a statue of a different important person.
The main problem is that you need to ask for permission from the authorities before installing statues in public.
Members of the Kapu community installed a statue of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga without permission.
Police and municipal officials removed the statue shortly after installation.
The Kapu community staged a protest, demanding permission for the statue.
The site was recently constructed for better traffic management.
