GRSE Shares Rise After ₹2,896 Crore Raichak Shipyard Approval
GRSE is a company that builds ships for India.
Its board approved ₹2,896 crore to build a new shipyard in Raichak, West Bengal.
The shipyard should help it build more defence and commercial ships.
GRSE is also making an ocean research vessel called Sagar Manthan.
It has received another order for two electric ferries.
These projects could create more business in the future.
However, the new shipyard will cost a lot before it starts bringing in extra earnings.
Analysts are positive about the company’s longer-term prospects, but they expect the share price to remain weak or move sideways soon.
GRSE shares rose as much as 3.6%, reaching ₹2,458.95, after the board approved ₹2,896 crore for a greenfield shipyard at Raichak.
The new facility is intended to expand naval and commercial shipbuilding capacity and support more complex projects.
The approval follows an earlier ₹2,670 crore expansion plan covering Raichak, Shalimar’s Timber Pond and the Damodar facility.
GRSE is also building the ₹840 crore Sagar Manthan ocean research vessel and received a ₹45.02 crore order for two electric ferries.
Analysts see long-term expansion potential, but technical indicators point to bearish or sideways conditions for the stock in the near term.
