Trump Promotes Tariffs, Trucking Growth During Texas Campaign

Donald Trump began a campaign trip for the November elections.

He visited a truck factory in Denton, Texas, and spoke with workers.

He said tariffs and his manufacturing policies were helping American factories.

Peterbilt said the Denton facility had added 1,000 jobs.

Trump also claimed that heavy-truck shipments were at a record high.

He said changes to emissions rules had helped the trucking industry.

His campaign comes as Republicans are concerned about his falling poll numbers.

Trump also joked that he would drive one of the trucks if the Secret Service allowed it.
