President Murmu Hails Operation Sindoor, Backs Indus Waters Treaty Suspension

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, gave a special speech the night before India's 80th birthday as a free country.

In her speech, she talked about how proud India is of its soldiers.

She remembered Operation Sindoor, a military mission against terrorists that started one year ago.

She said the mission showed India's army can act with great skill and sent a warning to anyone who helps terrorists.

She also talked about a water-sharing agreement with Pakistan called the Indus Waters Treaty.

India has paused this treaty, and the President said that is a strong step to protect the country, especially its farmers.

She was glad that a problem called Naxalism, which troubled India for decades, has finally ended.

She mentioned fun events like the Bastar Olympics and praised India's sports programs such as Khelo India.

She said India's economy is growing faster than almost any other big country.

The President ended by saying young people are doing great things and that India's future looks bright.
