Goodfellas & Mediawan Launch Round 12 Sports Label
Goodfellas and Mediawan Sport have teamed up to create Round 12, a new label that will make and share stories about sports.
These stories will be in the form of movies and TV shows, both real-life and made-up.
The name Round 12 comes from the final round in a boxing match, showing how important and exciting sports can be.
The people behind this new label love sports and want to make it a big deal in the world of entertainment.
They will show some of their new projects at a festival in Lyon and at a big movie market called EFM.
Some of the stories they will tell are about famous soccer players, boxers, and even a legendary car engineer.
They believe there isn't enough good content about sports, and they want to change that.
Goodfellas and Mediawan Sport have launched Round 12, a new label focused on sports-driven fiction and documentaries.
The label will co-produce, co-develop, and co-market content for films and TV series.
Round 12's slate includes two soccer fiction features and eight documentaries, to be launched at the European Film Market (EFM).
Key projects include 'Breakaway,' a thriller about underground soccer money games, and 'Marta,' a coming-of-age tale based on the life of soccer legend Marta Vieira da Silva.
The label aims to position itself as a leading specialist for sports content globally, with presentations at the Sport, Literature and Cinema Festival in Lyon.
