Heavy rains put normal life in MP out of gear

It rained very hard for two days in a place called Madhya Pradesh in India.

The heavy rain caused big puddles and flooding in many cities and towns.

In a district called Vidisha, 17 people got stuck because of sudden flood water.

Rescue helpers came and brought all of them to safety.

In Bhopal, the capital city, seven inches of rain fell in just one day.

That is a lot of water, enough to flood streets and cars.

Some homes in low-lying areas were filled with water.

In Biaora, 25 villages were cut off because a road tunnel was full of water.

The Narmada river also became very high.
