Karnataka Cabinet Expansion Set for Monday Evening
Karnataka is going to add a lot of new ministers to its government.
The chief minister, D.K. Shivakumar, will give the oath to up to 20 new ministers on Monday evening.
Some ministers who were already in the government will keep their jobs, while others will get new ones.
The new ministers include people like Ramalinga Reddy and Krishna Byre Gowda.
The government wants to make sure everyone who wants a ministerial job gets one, so the party is happy.
Karnataka will expand its cabinet on Monday, adding up to 20 new ministers.
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will oversee the swearing‑in, with the ceremony scheduled for the evening.
Several former ministers will retain portfolios, while others will receive new assignments (e.g., U.T. Khader becomes Health Minister).
The expansion follows the June 18 Rajya Sabha elections and aims to address internal party concerns over ministerial berths.
Key figures to be sworn in include Ramalinga Reddy, Krishna Byre Gowda, Dr G. Parameshwara, and Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah.
