Mahima Makwana: From Chawl to Two Homes, Bollywood Success
Mahima Makwana grew up in a small Mumbai apartment with her mother and brother after her father died when she was just a baby.
She started going to acting auditions at age nine because her family needed money.
She got a big break on a TV show in 2012, which helped her buy her first house when she was only 14.
Even though she worked hard, she was paid very little and was once told by a director that she didn’t know how to act, which made her work even harder.
She finally got a film role in Antim, thanks to Salman Khan, and the movie made her famous.
Now she owns two homes in Mumbai, but she still feels the loss of her father.
She is proud of her success and wants to keep growing as an actress.
Mahima Makwana, 26, grew up in a Mumbai chawl after her father died when she was five months old.
She began auditioning at nine to support her family, landing a breakthrough role on Zee TV’s Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke in 2012.
The show’s success allowed her to buy her first home in Mira Road at age 14, a milestone that motivated her to keep working.
She faced underpayment, humiliation on the set of Balika Vadhu, and repeated film rejections before being cast in Antim by Salman Khan Films.
After Antim’s release, her public image changed, she owns two Mumbai homes, but she still feels the absence of a father.
