US Changes Gaza Mission Leadership Amid Uncertainty

The U.S. is changing the leaders of its Gaza mission, called the Civil-Military Command Center (CMCC).

This mission was set up to help with the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, bring in aid, and plan for Gaza's future.

The top military and civilian leaders are stepping down, and new leaders haven't been announced yet.

Some countries are thinking about leaving the mission because they're not sure it's working well.

The first part of the plan has stopped major fighting, freed some hostages and prisoners, and seen Israeli forces withdraw from half of Gaza.

But both sides accuse each other of breaking the ceasefire, and many people in Gaza are living in difficult conditions.

The U.S. president has a new plan for the next phase, which includes more Israeli withdrawal and a new administration for Gaza.
