Siddheshwar Nagar Cluster Redevelopment To House 6,000 Families
A large housing project is starting near Siddheshwar Lake in Thane.
About 6,000 families currently live in slums or old buildings there.
Many of these homes have been around for decades.
The plan will rebuild the slums, old structures, and nearby areas together.
The work had been delayed because bringing all these properties into one project was difficult.
A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for Wednesday, September 23.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is expected to attend.
The project will be developed by Suggee Construction Company.
