Puttaparthi Ready for Baba Centenary with Power Upgrades
Puttaparthi is getting ready for a big party celebrating Sri Sathya Sai Baba's 100th birthday!
To make sure all the lights stay on and everything runs smoothly, the power company has been busy making the electricity system stronger.
They spent about 7.2 crore rupees to build a new power station and fix up old equipment.
This is important because many more people will be visiting, and they'll need almost twice as much electricity as usual, going from 6-8 megawatts to 10 megawatts.
They've put in special wires and bigger machines to handle the extra power.
They've also made sure the main buildings, like the Trust and the temple, get their power directly.
A big team of 150 workers is on duty to keep everything working perfectly during the celebrations.
Puttaparthi has undergone significant electrical infrastructure upgrades for Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s centenary celebrations.
The upgrades, costing Rs 7.20 crore, aim to provide uninterrupted power supply during the event.
Power demand is projected to increase from 6-8 MW to approximately 10 MW.
Key works include a new 33/11 kV substation, upgraded cables, and enhanced transformer capacities.
150 engineers and staff are deployed for continuous monitoring to ensure a stable power supply.
