Ajay Seth Appointed as Chairman of the IRDAI

Ajay Seth, who used to be in charge of money matters for the government, is now the new boss of the IRDAI, the group that watches over insurance companies.

He took the job on September 1, 2025, after the government chose him on July 24, 2025.

His job is to make sure insurance companies are doing a good job for people who buy insurance.

He will be in charge for three years or until he turns 65.

This appointment happened because the previous leader of IRDAI, Debasish Panda, finished his time in March.

The government picks these leaders with help from a special committee.
