Joanna Quinn Dedicates Annecy Honor to Gaza Animator

UK filmmaker Joanna Quinn received an honorary award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and dedicated it to Gaza animator Haneen Koraz.

Quinn praised Koraz's animation workshops for children in Gaza and launched an initiative to create animated messages of support for the Palestinian people.

The ceremony also remembered late Gaza artist Fatima Hassouna.

Annecy featured new animated shorts from various directors, including Theodore Ushev, who made a political statement at the festival.

This year's festival opened with multiple animated shorts instead of a single feature film.
