Mumbai Railways Announce Major Line Blocks for Sunday Maintenance
On Sunday, November 16, train tracks in Mumbai will be closed for a few hours so workers can fix them.
This is like closing a road for repairs.
Western Railway is closing tracks between Borivali and Goregaon from 10 am to 3 pm.
Some faster trains will run on slower tracks, and some trains will be cancelled.
Central Railway is also closing tracks on its main, Harbour, and Trans-Harbour lines for about four to five hours.
This means some trains on these lines will be cancelled or take longer to arrive.
These important repairs will help make the trains run better in the future.
Western Railway and Central Railway will conduct major maintenance blocks on Sunday, November 16, affecting Mumbai's suburban train services.
Western Railway's five-hour 'Jumbo Block' (10 am-3 pm) will impact fast lines between Borivali and Goregaon, diverting services and causing cancellations.
Central Railway's four-hour 'Mega Block' (10:55 am-3:55 pm) will affect slow services on the Main Line between CSMT and Vidyavihar.
Harbour Line services between Panvel and Vashi will be suspended from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm, with some Panvel-CSMT services also cancelled.
Trans-Harbour corridor services will see cancellations between specific times, though Thane-Vashi/Nerul services will operate normally.
