Konkan Railway flags off first polypropylene container rake

Konkan Railway started a new service to transport polypropylene, a type of plastic, from a station in Mangaluru to a place called Morbi in Rajasthan.

This is the first time they are sending this material using special containers on trains.

The company that makes the polypropylene, called MRPL, will send about two container loads every month.

To make this happen, they built new facilities at the station, like big storage areas and roads.

This new service is expected to help other businesses in the area send and receive goods more easily.
