Jannik Sinner Withdraws From US Open Over Knee Inflammation

Jannik Sinner is the world’s top-ranked tennis player.

He will not play in the 2026 U.S. Open because his knee is inflamed.

Reports say doctors have not found a knee lesion.

The problem may have worsened while he was training after Wimbledon.

Sinner has been told not to practice until September 6.

He hopes to play again at the China Open on September 30.

His absence gives Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz a better chance to win the U.S. Open.

The tournament runs from August 24 to September 13 in New York City.
