Warren flags Trump-linked Taylor Farms donations amid cyclospora outbreak
A tiny germ called cyclospora got into bagged lettuce and made thousands of people sick in the United States.
The lettuce came from a company called Taylor Farms.
A senator named Elizabeth Warren thinks the company used money and lobbying to get special treatment from the government.
She says the company gave more than a million dollars to groups that support President Trump.
She also says the government weakened food safety rules, which may have made the sickness harder to stop.
One test said the lettuce had the germ, but officials later said that test was a mistake.
Even so, health officials believe the lettuce really did make people sick.
The company says it did a good job keeping food safe and stopped using lettuce from the area where the germ was found.
Michigan had the most sick people, with more than 13,000 cases.
Senator Warren has asked the head of health for answers by August 27.

Warren criticized the Trump administration for delaying a food traceability rule and ending mandatory cyclospora reporting, calling the response 'myriad missteps.'
