Tricity Reports Significant Decline in Dengue Cases
Dengue cases in the Tricity area have dropped drastically this year compared to last year.
Fewer than 200 cases have been reported so far, which is a big change from the thousands reported last year.
Experts think this is because of changes in the weather and actions taken to stop mosquitoes from breeding.
The Health Department has been working hard to prevent water from collecting and spreading awareness.
Even though it's been raining a lot, the cases haven't gone up, and officials are urging everyone to stay cautious, especially as peak dengue season is still ongoing.
Dengue cases in the Tricity have declined by 95% from January to October.
Only about 160 cases have been reported this year, the lowest in four years.
Experts attribute the decline to rainfall patterns and preventive measures.
Public awareness campaigns and home visits are underway to prevent mosquito breeding.
Health officials urge continued vigilance despite the drop in cases.
