US Launches New Strikes in Iran, Expands Patriot Deal, Sanctions IRGC
On a Wednesday, the United States carried out new air attacks on Iran, the first since July 24.
The strikes were in response to an Iranian missile that hit a U.S. base in Jordan.
President Donald Trump said Washington would hit Tehran "very hard."
The U.S. Army also gave Lockheed Martin a big contract to make Patriot missiles, turning a $4.7 billion deal into a $58.6 billion, seven‑year plan.
The U.S. Central Command accused Iran’s IRGC of threatening ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
