West Bengal Announces 14,454 Jobs and Women’s Education Aid

West Bengal plans to hire people for 14,454 government jobs.

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said the hiring should happen within six to eight months.

He said the government had promised one lakh jobs and was working toward that goal.

He also said the Public Service Commission was working to finish pending recruitment.

The state approved a program called the Bhagini Nivedita Scheme.

It will provide Rs 50,000 to unmarried women pursuing higher education for three years.

Adhikari said problems with OBC certificates and administration under the previous Trinamool government had kept young people from getting jobs.

The articles do not include a response from the previous government.
